Cruzin Havana 6/20/2009

This cruise has a lot going on in addition to the cruise which will make a real family event. Four festival sites along the 4.3 miles of Havana in Aurora.   29 Car Dealers. Over 70 Restaurants all with special  menus for the Cruise.   Entertainment at each one of sites. Boy Scout Pine  Wood Derby. A Poker Run with a   grand prize of a 50" Big Screen TV. Event Hat Pins  for all entrants.   Inaugural T-Shirts for sale. Full Color Programs.   The OCCC and DARE will benefit from the sale of  Program Advertising and   Sponsorships just like we did from the Colfax  Cruise.  We will need some car clubs to help out on this
cruise.   Suss Pontiac wants 10 to 15 Pontiac's, Bozarth Wants  10 to 15 Corvettes,   Naughton Ford wants 10 to 15 Fords, Gibby's (A  sports bar - I guess) wants some   street rods and Havana Auto Parts wants some Street  Rods. Each one of these   business is willing to make a contribution to the
club who park some cars at their   site. I figure about somewhere about $10 to $15 per  car, but that is between   the club and the business. We will put the
interested clubs in contact with   the business to work out numbers and amount of  contribution.   In addition to these clubs we will need some clubs  to help out at the 4  Festival Sites - Just like last year at the Colfax  Cruise. The clubs can buy   Inaugural T-Shirts for $4 each and then sell them  for $10. And keep the $6 profit  for the club. We will need club members for traffic  control also. I think that   we will need 20 to 25 people per site in order to  control the traffic and make  sure it is run right. DARE will furnish the police  protection for this event   and they are working on getting some police cadets  to help out also.   We will have a meeting next Weds 3/26 at 7PM at the  Forney for any and all   clubs who are interested.
